Jubilee Pursuit Race

Combined dinghy and cruiser pursuit race in Seaburn Bay.

90 minute race provisionally starting at 2.00 pm using PY handicap system. Race briefing 11.00 am. Prize giving for this event not before 4:30 at SYC.

For those unfamiliar with pursuit racing. In a traditional race all boats start together with the handicap / rating calculation being applied after finishing. In a pursuit race duration is determined in advance (90 minutes). The slowest boat starts 1^st and sails for 90 minutes, faster boats start times are calculated using the handicap system and they start at intervals after the slowest boat. A boats position in the fleet after 90 minutes is her finishing position. All boats finish at the same time.
