Sail Training

Sailing:

We have a modern fleet of club boats which includes Toppers, Picos, Fevas, a laser 16 and a recently purchased fleet of Hartley 12s and 15. These enable sailors to learn and practice on different boats as your skills develop. We can have training aimed at those who wish to learn to sail, learn to race or just improve their skills.

Sunderland Yacht Club members can also enjoy informal training on most Saturday mornings. We are in the process of developing the 2019 training calendar so watch this space.

We offer learn to sail courses at key times throughout the year which are 2 day courses designed to teach you all the basic skills required to participate in regular training and will also allow you to use the club boats outside of training if you wish to move onto club racing.
