SB20 Northern Area Championships - May 2026
Sunderland Yacht Club (SYC) is looking forward to welcoming the SB20 class to the Northern Area Championships again in May this year.
The experienced SYC race management team shall hold the event in beautiful Seaburn Bay which provides the ideal sailing area for the championship.
Our recently refurbished clubhouse provides the necessary facilities and comforts to all competitors in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Boats shall be lifted using the SYC club crane (supervised by an SYC crane operator) and trailers shall be stores within the SYC club compound.
Compound space shall also be available for a limited number of motorhomes on a first come first served basis at a nominal overnight fee.
A limited number of club moorings may be made available at no additional charge to the entry fee. Alternatively, pontoon moorings shall be available within Sunderland marina where additional charges shall apply.

Registration: Saturday 09th May from 09:00 to 10:30.
Briefing: 10:30 BST on Saturday only
Saturday: First Warning Signal: 11:55
Sunday: First Warning Signal: 10:10
The North East coast SB20 sailors are looking forward to welcoming as many visitors as possible to the 2026 Northern Area Championship... so why not pump-up the trailer tyres and make the trip up North to Sunderland Yacht Club!
