It is with deep regret we inform you of the passing of two very well respected and loved members.

Gordon Laidler passed away on Friday night, 11 January 2019 aged 97 years. Gordon was a lovely person who related to all age groups with his life stories and could regularly be found sitting beside the window on a Saturday afternoon.

Martin Boatman slipped away on Sunday morning, 13 January 2019 aged 35 years after losing his courageously fought two year battle against cancer. Many will remember Martin sailing with his family on "Mr Blow" with nappies flying from the guardrails! He went on to represent GB at many sailing events and in turn passed on his knowledge as a well loved and highly respected RYA Coach and was awarded the Performance Development Coach of the Year by the RYA in 2016. Martin leaves behind his beautiful wife Sam and young son and daughter.
